Papalote is more than just Spanish class or camp where you learn how to Speak Spanish. It's based on creating long lasting friendships, building community, sharing, playing and learning together. Classes were started out of a gift and passion for teaching others the Spanish language, culture and history.
by hosting classes at everyone's homes and everyone would rotate and provide snacks for the kids and moms, Martha extended it out to Spanish movie nights once a month. For those who couldn't host during the week, they offered to open up their homes and host the group for a couple of hours while watching Spanish movies and have some eats and treats. Movies nights allowed parents to go out on date nights worry free, and allowed the kids to play and reinforce their learning of the Spanish language.
after seeing that the kids loved Papalote Spanish classes so much, Martha decided it was time to expand. She looked and researched for the right locations and spaces to hold her classes. After much seeking she found a space at the Harbor Bay Community Center where she holds several group classes for kids during the school year.
